He shrugged again. "I'unno." Then he blinked again and looked around the group, as though he was looking for someone. "Where's Bazett?"

Kirei's eyes widened, but he said nothing, clenching his jaw tight now.

"Oh, she was murdered unfortunately. Why do you ask?"

Avenger crossed his arms. "She was connected to me somehow. I heard her calling out to me. She didn't want to die, so I kept her alive. Barely. She's still alive out there in the woods."

Kirei was completely rigid.

Lazarus turned to Kirei and laughed, "Oh dear! That will be fun for you!" he turned back to the servant, "Well, since you've done her such a good favor, and you're a servant now, would you like us to take you to her, or bring her here? Perhaps she can contract with you somehow. I'd hate to stand in the way of a special connection." the mage scientist definitely savored the feeling of Kirei making a mistake.

Atalanta rolled her eyes and shared the 'ugh, men' look with Medea.

Carlotta piped up, "Oh I definitely agree! We'd love to help the poor woman out."

Avalon held up her hands,"Okay okay, let's stop a minute. First thing's first, can we please get the hell out of this room? Secondly, this girl needs to recuperate. Where should she rest? Maybe we can split up and some of us can take care of her and some of us can go see this Bazette person. After that maybe we can all meet up at the mansion and figure out what we might be able to do about the grail."

"There should be ample facilities for Illya's rest up at the temple," Daichi says. "I myself would like to go see Bazett."

Before anyone else could answer Avalon, Kirei turned to Atalanta. "Please take me to Bazett immediately."

Avenger turned a murderous glare on him. "Do you want to die?"

Atalanta quickly grabbed her master and sped up the stairs. Once out of the building she sprinted to where she had been summoned, leaping effortlessly over any obstacle in her way.

Carlotta jumped a little with excitement, "Let's get after them Alexander!"

Medea glanced back at Daichi with a smirk. "This should be most interesting indeed." Phillipus rubbed his forehead and sighed.

"Why does his comeuppance always have to be so... possibly fatal?" Mari looked around quizically.

"Comeuppance? Did Priest do something?" She paused, face pale. "Did he kill that Bazett?? We gotta do something!!"

Yui hurried to Alexander's side. "We've got to beat them there! We can't let him finish Bazett off!"

Assassin watched it all with a raptured expression. "Goodness, how dramatic."

"Let me help," Scathatch casted a primordial rune upon Alexander, Raidho, enhancing his speed for a short time.

"Gordius Wheel!" Alexander summoned his chariot with all due haste. As soon as everyone was in it he lashed the reins and drove up the tunnel, speeding off after Atalanta.

Medea grinned at Assassin. "Isn't it just?"

"Phillipus, I'm aware your expertise lies in healing, but I would hate to deny you seeing whatever the outcome of this will be in person. I volunteer to mind the girl, and will join you later if necessary." Phillipus snorted with amusment.

"How gracious of you!"

"Revenge is a dish I shan't deny, whatever the temperature." She gave him a noble, graceful bow and a wink. The other Caster jumped on to the chariot and hung on for dear life.

Scathatch followed, but not on the chariot. She let her master take the space and would catch up quickly. Avalon picked up Ilya, " Saber, please go help Bazette and the others if you can. I'll see about getting there another way. I have to at least get Ilya upstairs though."

"Yes, Master." Saber gave a short nod and leapt, a burst of wind shooting behind them, the gap between Saber and Rider quickly closed. Mari was already on the chariot, eyes squeezed shut and stomach churning.

Astolfo turned to Avenger and raised a hand. "I'm the charming Rider class Servant Astolfo! Want me to take you to Bazett?"

Avenger nodded. "Yeah. I know where she is. Let's go."

Avalon carried the girl upstairs and found a place to make her comfortable, "You need anything else?"

Meanwhile, still in the basement, Scathatch turned to Astolfo. "Here, take this. It will help you if you need it." she attatched a length of knotted yellow cord to his hair."When you untie this knot, it will cause you or your mount travel at extremely high speeds to reach a specific destination."
