Tragedy at Homurahara

Post by Damascus on Mon Jun 20, 2016 11:51 pm

[[A report comes over the TV in the early morning.]]

Tragedy struck Homurahara Academy last night. A natural gas leak occurred on school grounds early yesterday evening, which quickly filled the school buildings and rendered most of the faculty and staff unconscious. Police were unable to enter the school grounds for many hours as the gas filling the school grounds remained at highly toxic levels.

An estimated 65 schoolchildren died from gas exposure, and another 300 students and faculty are currently being treated at Fuyuki hospital. The mayor of Fuyuki held a press conference today extending his condolences to the families of those lost in the disaster.

Safety officials are investigating the school to determine the cause of the accident and how future tragedies of this nature can be avoided. Homurahara Academy will remain closed until officials have determined that the school grounds are safe for the classes to resume.
