Showdown at Homurahara
In a short time, Kirei and his two Servants arrived at the eastern entrance to the Academy. Just to be safe, he had both Archer and Rider in physical form as they arrived. Their odd clothes drew odd looks from the police officers surrounding the school. Normally, allowing outsiders of the War to see Servants in action was strictly forbidden.
But, the rules no longer mattered much. The Mediator was dead.
Four police cars surrounded the entrance gate. It hung wide open, with no obvious blockades or barriers, but the police hung back warily.
At the same time, Caster's Yui duplicate arrived behind them.
Re: Showdown at Homurahara
Atalanta turned, and caught Kirei's attention. She motioned to the girl who had approached behind them. "Another Master?"

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
Kirei turned and recognized her instantly. "The Tohsaka girl," she said aloud, as much to Archer as to the homunculus itself. He sensed no presence of another Servant nearby. Odd. "Alone?"
Something seemed off about the girl, but he couldn't immediately place it. Nothing dangerous, exactly, but unnatural.

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
"Should we...just ignore her for now? " Atalanta couldn't place what was off either but either way, the situation was far too odd.

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
"Yui" regarded both Servants with curiosity. Rider's Master had been killed in their first battle. Had this Master taken him on in addition to his own. "Are these both your Servants?"
Kirei decided not to answer that question. Instead, he stared at the Command Spells on her hand. He'd had enough experience with them to tell they were not true Spells. This was a fake, then. A convincing one. Best not to reveal he saw through the disguise.
"It seems unwise to come here without any Servants. Certainly you know what is at stake here."

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
Yui put a hand on her hip. "I'm not entirely defenseless," she responded. "I didn't think the Apostle would show itself if it felt Servants nearby. It seems like you didn't have the same idea."
"It has already shown itself," Kirei readily replied. He turned and peered into the school grounds. "It has put a Territorial Field over the school. No one can enter without his permission. He could have remained hidden without erecting it. The fact that he turned this into such a spectacle means he was wanting us to come."
Yui reached up and scratched her throat.

As the two talked, a girl no older than a high schooler approached them.
[[She not smiling like in the photo tho. Stone face.]]
"I'm glad to see you made it." She bowed respectfully. "You may call me Bow. Number 7 of the Burial Agency. I've been monitoring the situation."

Rider bowed in return. "I'm Astolfo, I'm the Rider of this War. It's nice to meet you!"

Atalanta glared at the intruder, straitening herself to appear more threatening, her hair standing a bit on end.

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
Bow stared dispassionately at Archer, sensing her hostility. "I am not here to act yet. But it behooves me to monitor the situation closely with so many people involved. The students and faculty inside are likely dead, or soon to be. I would expect a large number of ghouls."
She then turned to address Kirei directly. "You already know that this Dead Apostle is old, and very formidable. He is not yet on the level of an Ancestor, but he is getting close. He may be even beyond your skills."
Kirei glared indignantly. "I will destroy it."
Bow sized him up. "I certainly hope so." She turned back to the entrance. "There is no way to enter the Territorial Field without being invited in. But, considering he lured you all here, I expect that invitation to arrive soon."

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
A hearty cackle echoed over the school grounds. Up and to their right, Malphas appeared on the roof of the nearest school building. Upon hearing the Apostle laughed, the police present looked up in shock, then almost immediately fainted.
The Apostle looked down at Kirei and his Servants and smiled, but said nothing. With a wave of his hand, he lowered the Territorial Field over the school.
"Shall we dance?"

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
Archer dropped to one knee, fully drawing her bow. Once she was ready, she released it.

As Archer paused to fully draw her bow, Malphas grinned widely, pulling a form out from behind him. It was a young boy, probably in early middle school, rendered unconscious.
"Careful now," Malphas taunted, holding the boy in front of him. "You could poke someone's eye out with that thing."

Rider gasped. "Miss Atalanta, be careful!!"

Her lip curled into a sneer. How dare he use an innocent child as a shield?! She was certain that she could hit him anyway. Even if she didn't...there were more children that needed saving in this place. Unfortunately it must come down to the one or the many.

[[Amy rolled a 22 initially so I'm giving her that xP]]
Malphas moved the child to intercept the arrow, but wasn't quite fast enough. The arrow pierced his shoulder.

"Agh!" he yelled, dropping the child, but followed with a laugh. "I was wondering what kind of woman you would be. Awfully risky of you!"
Holding his wounded shoulder, he jumped backward, crossing the huge center courtyard from one rooftop to the one behind him.
Kirei produced four Black Keys, prepared to follow Archer into the school grounds.

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
Archer leapt to the highest building. Able to see everything from her position and still be able to hit it, she fully drew another arrow.

Malphas made no attempt to dodge the arrow as he sailed through the air.

He cackled as blood trailed in the air behind him, then landed on top of the same building that Caster and Berserker had just entered.
He landed among a large group of elementary and middle school students. There were perhaps 30 or 40 of them, standing still, staring at the sky with glazed-over eyes.
Malphas grabbed a student with each hand, prepared to use them as human shields if the need arose.
"Still confident in that aim of yours?" Malphas taunted her. "You know your arrows can just go straight through their bodies, right? Not very effective shields, but hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?"

She aimed again, doing her best not to hit any of the children.

Again Malphas moved to intercept with a child, but didn't make it in time.

Malphas stumbled. "Ugh... I underestimated you. But if you think that's going to be enough, you're sorely mistaken!" He grinned widely, baring his fangs. The wounds Archer had dealt him sealed up, the blood he had already lost disappearing from his robes.

He threw the child in his right hand at Archer as hard as he could, then quickly followed behind it, claws bared to strike her as she was distracted.

Re: Showdown at Homurahara
She caught the child, and leaped to a different building, and then to the one that held all the children. She set the one she was holding down. "Astolpho! Go After him!" hopefully if he was distracted by rider, she could get in a few good shots. She fully drew her bow again, sending it off after a moment.

Malphas caught Rider's blade with one hand, but let the arrow strike him in the side.

He grunted as the arrow passed through him, but that wound began to seal up as well.

After pushing Rider back, Kirei landed on the rooftop as well, Black Keys bared and ready to strike.
"Three against one... so that's how it's gonna be, is it?" He cackled. "Fine then. I'll show you how hopeless your struggle is!"
He turned and lashed out toward Rider, aiming for his throat.
